Piggy Dolls make me sad, even sadder seeing it all laid out. Just from the name you knew it would be making fun of them. But wow, their voices were insane. It’s a shame they had so few comebacks, only three with the original lineup, so unfortunate. I will say though, Trend is such a good debut. I had heard clips of it before but hearing the whole song now, I really like it. I don’t like looking into already disbanded groups cuz it makes me sad, but I think I’ll have to keep looking into them. Thank you so much for this write up. I can see the appeal of trying to find something that’s going to catch on, but so many don’t even give a particular concept or lineup a chance to really grow and develop and gain a fanbase, it’s just a mad scramble to find that breakout hit like Momoland’s Bboom Bboom.

Wow I had no idea that a kpop group ever performed with Boyz II Men wow, what a crossover. But yeah those voices wow. I hadn’t heard of Big Mama I don’t think, have they ever been on any of your round up? Or maybe not if they had over 100k sales. Beige AF Fist I’m The 45 Percent Funny Shirt Ladies T-Shirt Pretty cool though Yeah, from YG and successful/well-known back in their day sort of takes them out of the purview of what I do, I’m just a big fan of them and listen to them quite a bit (thinking about them again made me decide to listen through a couple of their albums now while I’m waiting for my beef stew to cook). I’ve been thinking about doing a feature on Gavy NJ which is another very vocal-focused group that I really love, though they’re more ballad-focused and I know ballads aren’t the preferred genre for many around here, but I’ll probably end up doing it anyway because I love them and want to share.

I know a lot of people have to be in the mood for ballads and tbh, winter/Christmas time is my favourite time for them, so I think it would be a great time for a ballad roundup! I really love the eSNa version of “Ahh Oop!” Her voice is so unique, almost with a smoky(?) charm. She’s the original songwriter, so I wish MMM fans gave her more recognition for her work on the song. Also, re: Piggy Dolls, if I remember correctly, Beige AF Fist I’m The 45 Percent Funny Shirt Ladies T-Shirt Pink Fantasy member SeeA was in the second line-up for the group (when they were bashed for the thinner concept). I think she’s super talented and has great vocals. She went on “I Can See Your Voice” prior to redebuting in Pink Fantasy.
